About Me

Tharwat Shafiq is a contemporary Egyptian artist born in 1955 in Cairo, Egypt and raised in an artistic family where talent is inherited.

He graduated from the Faculty of Educational Arts affiliated to Helwan University in 1978.

He relocated to Hurghada and worked as a teacher for Educational Arts, he graduated in the career ladder until he became the general guide for educational Arts in the Red Sea Governorate.

He didn't stop practicing fine arts of all kinds, painting, mural painting, oil painting, art prints, design, art of writing, calligraphy, sculpture, mosaics, and architecture, during his stay in Hurghada, affected by the picturesque nature.

He excelled in oil painting, influenced by Orientalism, which are distinctive drawings that dive into the depths of Arab and Islamic history, paintings gifted by oriental painters to the world, which included among their lines the natures of human beings, their movements and their gestures of their places, as if they were pronounced to narrate the lives of our ancestors from the level of their mastery, as if they were high photographs Quality.
